Perfect getaway by the beach

My partner and I shared this rental with friends for a little less than a week's vacation together. It was great to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so that each couple had their own. I don't travel as much as my friends do, so I was immediately wowed, but my friends also said this condo was the cleanest rental home they've ever stayed in. They were very impressed and felt immediately at ease in the space. 
 
And I don't think I'd ever stayed so close to the beach before! You just walk around the corner and you are there, and the beach is beautiful. Lauderdale-by-the-Sea seems to be a rare gem in the Fort Lauderdale area because it isn't dominated by high-rise condo buildings along the beach, so you really get to enjoy the sun and sand without the sky being blotted out by buildings. 
 
The unit was supplied with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, and beach towels, and all the toiletries you could possibly need including sunscreen, which I was not expecting. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans, dishes, silverware, cups, etc. There was even an electric kettle in addition to a coffee maker, which I really appreciated as a tea drinker. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful. There is free laundry on-site and an iron and ironing board, which was so helpful for getting ready for dinner after the beach. 
 
All of the restaurants we tried within walking distance were great, which I was not expecting for a vacation town. (We particularly enjoyed Basilic Vietnamese Grill and Station 44 Bar-BQ.) Getting around by Lyft to farther destinations in the Fort Lauderdale area was easy and cheap. 
 
And to top it off, when we arrived, we were greeted with a lovely fruit basket and personalized sign, which really gave us a warm welcome. 
 
I couldn't recommend this rental more highly if you are planning a trip to the Fort Lauderdale area. I only wish our stay had been a few days longer.

Love this place!!

I loved this place! Perfect location! One blocking from the beach, restaurants, shopping, nightlife!! It is everything the 5 star reviews say and more!! Jan and Tom are always available if you have questions etc!! The property has everything you could possibly need!! It is super clean and well maintained. I have already recommended this place to several people. The courtyard area has lounge chairs fountain and tropical plants and is great for relaxing! Clean and convenient

Dann in unserer Wohnung die nachste tolle Uberraschung: Willkommens GruBe , ein Korb aus Fruchten, Kaffee und Muffins . Die Wohnung sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Handtucher, Kaffeemaschine Toaster alles vor Ort . Duschbad Haarwasche alles da , selbst die Strandtasche war schon gepackt mit Handtuchern und Sonnencreme ... Einfach unglaublich schon !!! Clean apartment with a great location

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Located in a great area, with very short walks to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Very nice gesture to be welcomed with a basket of fruits and coffee. Stocked kitchen and bathroom. The furniture in the living area isn't very comfortable, but we spent minimal time actually in the apartment. We also did not have a cooler in our unit, which was listed as available prior to arriving. Super convenient location, clean and efficient

Great location, close to beach, shopping, restaurants and bars! This apartment is set up to be efficient and cozy, with all the comforts of home. Jan and Tom pay attention to the smallest details from toiletries in the bathrooms, to snacks waiting for a late arrival. Four adults were very comfortable in this space. the kitchen was well stocked with all utensils and dished needed to prepare a full meal. The beach chairs and umbrella provided are a great convenience, although the ones at this location will soon need replaced as they are quite worn. Having the laundry facilities on site are a bonus. Clean and nice apartement. Perfect from beginning to end.

Location was perfect. It was a three min. walk to a nice beach and a lot of restaurants near by. The apartement is well equiped with everything you need also for a trip to the beach. We had a lovely stay at Tom's apartement and we will for sure use this apartement again if we're going to Fort Lauderdale. This is a safe choice if you are looking for a place to rent in this area. Simply Perfection!!!!

I was in town for surgery and needed a place to stay to recoup and this was absolutely perfection. I didn't need to worry about a thing as EVERY amenity imaginable was there. They thought of everything! Free washer and dryer was the best. We couldn't even use half of what was offered. And we loved the welcome basket of fruit and muffins. Special indeed. The villa was meticulously clean and easy to maintain. The location was the best, short walks to restaurants, drug store, grocery store and of course the beach!.
